Individuals: Form for personal imports

These forms are for individuals wishing to importing a vehicle with Maple Leaf Importing.

Dealers: Form for transported imports

These forms are for dealers who are transporting their vehicles to Maple Leaf Importing.

All imports are required to have the following:

Open recalls

Once the vehicle has been imported and has landed on one of our registered, DOT approved holding lots, the vehicle will be held there respectively for 30 days before being released to be sold. During which time, the vehicle will be pictured, stickered with a Registered Importer label, and, if you so choose, titled and converted.

TPMS Appendix A Clearance

Any vehicle listed on Appendix A of the Department of Transportation’s Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TMPS) list is ineligible for import due to non-compliant TPMS being installed on the vehicle

TPMS Appendix B Clearance

Any vehicle listed on Appendix B of the Department of Transportation’s Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) list requires proof that the vehicle is in fact equipped with TPMS, which can be proven with either a photo of the TPMS dash light or a build sheet from the seller stating that a TPMS system is installed.

Once the vehicle is imported

Each vehicle that is imported by us is required to have a Conformity Package submitted to the Department of Transportation (DOT). Conformity packages are required by the DOT in order to obtain bond releases for each vehicle. Every conformity package contains the twelve photos required by the DOT, which include:

You must also acquire a “no open recall” form from the dealer. This form must be emailed to Maple Leaf Importing to begin processing your import.
